Ok so in truth I saw this last week, but still I should probably take life seriously and update things like this more often so here it is two posts in one day! Ok so this first part may sound like a rant but in truth its an observation. Thank god I saw this with a friend and not a girlfirend, ex, or girl thats a friend. Too many times has my viewing pleasure been spoiled by some one tapping me on the shoulder at different intervals in a film asking "what's going on?" or "I don't get it!" now im all for going the cinema with a girl but sometimes it just nice to sit back and enjoy it without any interuptions or missing some vital part answering "I don't know" or "I've seen just as much as you..." so having a new cinema buddy I had high hopes and set off to watch the film, which is something I hadnt done in a while.
That all said I loved the film although i did figure out who was who with the old guy at the very begining as I imagine a few people did but none the less the film still had me gripped and watching all the way through I enjoyed most aspects of the film and would really enjoy seeing it again just to see if there were any parts I missed or didnt understand first time round, which for me is very rare. I think I can count on both hands and film or tv program I have watched more than once. Namely kill bill, saving private ryan, def comedy jam, the last samurai band of brothers and maybe one or two others that escape me right now. Any who, I like the idea of a dream within a dream and the way it explains certain feelings or memories the whole idea brings up and i particularly like the way it seemed to manage to stay within its own universe and kept to its own limitations that are predefined by such a concept.
The film and marks out of 10
Story 7/10
Effects 8/10
Concept 8/10
Overall 8/10
Giving how harsh I can be with films thats a very high score. I would give more of an overview but in truth my memory isnt what it used to be and I find myself writing more and more notes on scrap pieces of paper trying to remember stuff these days! and the rant isnt meant to be sexist or a generalisation about women but any of you out there who have had this experience will know what a nice change of pace it is to go and see a film with a mate...
A little sexist view on women and cinema there Leroy. Try not to post thiis kind of content on your blog - Its not very professional!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your thoughts and have amended it slightly so that it comes across more as what I am trying to say and not how it was being read. I enjoy going to the cinema with girls but truthfully its kinda like that orange advert i think with jeff the cyborg and horsey pete sometimes you need to pick your cinema buddy wisely?
